In the early 1990's, while working in Ottawa as an Office Manager and Human Resources Manager, my health deteriorated to the point that I had to take extended sick leave. After exhausting traditional medicine with little success, I chose to use natural therapies, which resulted in my complete recovery. Convinced of the effectiveness of alternative therapies and dedicating myself to helping others with their wellness and life goals, I became trained and certified as follows:

Certified Master Hypnotist

My Hypnosis training began in 1998 with Dr. Susan Baker in the States. [Dr. Baker and Neal Donald Walsh developed a program called Resilience Therapy and presented this process to The First World Congress of Psychotherapy in Vienna in 1996] Through Dr. Baker, I became certified and accedited with the American Board of Hypnotherapy. In 1999 I also trained with Dr. Georgina Cannon at the Ontario Hypnosis Centre in Toronto, becoming certfied and accredited with the National Guild of Hypnotists as a Master Hypnotist. I am also certified with the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association and am a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. My hypnosis specialties include Pediatric, Geriatric, Pain Control Management; Regressions; Resilience Therapy; and, Establishing Wholeness, to name a few.

I am also a lecturer and a teacher, having taught privately and at Algonquin College.

Certified Clinical Iridologist

I studied with the Canadian Institute of Iridology in Toronto. I delivered my thesis on Hypoglycemia and received my certified accreditation in the fall of 2000. I am a registered member of the Iridologists' Association of Canada. My thesis was published in the official newsletter of the Iridologists' Association of Canada, 2002-Vol. 8 Issue 2, 3 and 4, 2003 - Vol 9 Issue 1.

Reiki Master

I am a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher. I received my First Degree in 1996 from Michael Irvine, Kanata; Second Degree in April 1997 from Bonnie & Gary Rondeau of Nepean; Master/Teacher Degree in September 1998 from Barb Keshen of Toronto. I received my Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher level in July 2000 from Helen Schruder. I have been actively providing Reiki treatments since 1996 and teaching Reiki since 1998. I am registered with the Canadian Reiki Association as both practitioner and teacher of Usui and Karuna Reiki. I am registered as a Karuna Reiki practitioner & teacher with William Rand's organization in the States.

I received my Practitioner Phases I-IV cerfication in 2000.
