Wendy’s passion is helping others achieve better health and positive results. After overcoming a critical illness in the 90s, she felt compelled to share what she learned and pursued training in natural therapies. Wendy believes we are our own healers. Through hypnosis, Reiki, Shamanism, and other energy healing techniques, she helps clients tap into their inner power to create meaningful change. Results may vary.

Wendy began her hypnosis training in 1998 with Dr. Susan Baker, becoming certified by the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. She later trained with Dr. Georgina Cannon at the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, earning certification with the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1999. That same year, Wendy received additional certification from the Canadian Institute of Hypnotism in pediatric, geriatric, and college-level hypnosis. In 2000, she became certified in Advanced Hypnotherapy Techniques and as a Master Hypnotist.

Wendy’s specialties include pediatric and geriatric hypnosis, pain management, regressions, resilience, past life journeys, and hypnosis for salespeople.

Wendy is also a lecturer and teacher, having taught privately at Algonquin College.

Wendy studied with the Canadian Institute of Iridology (Toronto) and earned her C.C.Ir.® certification in fall 2000 after delivering a thesis on Hypoglycemia.

An iridologist studies the patterns, colors, and characteristics of the iris (the colored part of the eye) to assess health and identify potential imbalances in the body. Wendy’s thesis was published in the official newsletter of the Iridologists’ Association of Canada in 2002 (Vol. 8, Issues 2, 3, and 4) and 2003 (Vol. 9, Issue 1).

Wendy is a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher. She received her First Degree in 1996 from Michael Irvine (Kanata), her Second Degree in April 1997 from Bonnie & Gary Rondeau (Nepean), and her Master/Teacher Degree in September 1998 from Barb Keshen (Toronto). In July 2000, she earned her Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher certification from Helen Schruder through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).

Wendy completed her Quantum Shamanic Master/Teacher Reiki training in February 2020 with Pete Bernard (The 8th Fire, Ottawa) and became a Master/Teacher of Holy Fire® Reiki World Peace in May 2023 with Eugene Nau through the ICRT. She has been providing Reiki treatments since 1996 and teaching Reiki since 1998.

Professional 2-Year Shamanism (Medicine Work) Training Program – “Earning The Light”

Wendy trained with Pete Bernard, Algonquin Medicine Man and Midewin, from 2013 to 2015, receiving all Medicine Rites. She completed an additional 320 hours of training in 2019 to 2021 through the 2-year program “The Medicine Keeper.” Wendy is currently a Teaching Assistant and Co-Teacher for the Earning the Light Program (2023–2026).

Her training provides a strong foundation in Traditional Medicine Work, focused on self-healing and supporting others’ healing needs. Her expertise includes intuition, energy scanning, chakras, aura work, healing, energetic protection, journey work, animal totems, spirit guides, astral projection, Akashic Records, and space clearings.

Wendy has also completed over 120 private case studies to deepen her learning and healing skills.

his trauma release technique was developed by André Dückers (Netherlands) and taught to Madeline McBride (Ottawa) in July 2023 in England. Madeline introduced it to North America, enhancing it with energy activation techniques from James Foo (Toronto). In October 2023, Madeline trained Wendy Armstrong (Ottawa), who is now a Workshop Instructor.

It is intended to release emotions that may be impacting a person’s health. It is to address the lasting adverse emotional response that often results from living through a distressing event or situation.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is based on working with the body’s subtle energies (see Gary H. Craig). EFT is also referred to as the Tapping Technique.

Anyone can learn to use these techniques. Advanced methods such as TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) and BSFF (Be Set Free Fast) are also available. Please call or email for a private session or for more information on these exciting techniques!
