Her Hypnosis training began in 1998 with Dr. Susan Baker in the States. Dr. Baker and Neal Donald Walsh developed a program called Resilience Therapy and presented this process to The First World Congress of Psychotherapy in Vienna in 1996 Through Dr. Baker, Wendy became certified and accedited with the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. In 1999, she also trained with Dr. Georgina Cannon at the Ontario Hypnosis Centre in Toronto, becoming certfied and accredited with the National Guild of Hypnotists. Wendy received further certification in 1999 by the Canadian Institute of Hypnotism  for Hypnotherapy with Children, Hypnotherapy in Geriatrics, and Teaching Hypnosis in College. In July 2000 she was certified by the American Institute of Hypnotherapy for Advanced Hypnotherapy Techniques.  Shortly thereafter also in July 2000 Wendy was certified as a Master Hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists. Her hypnosis specialties include Pediatric (Children), Geriatric, Pain Control Management; Regressions; Resilience; and, Establishing Wholeness, Past Life Journeys, Hypnosis for Salespeople, to name a few.

Wendy is also a lecturer and a teacher, having taught privately and at Algonquin College

Having studied with the Canadian Institute of Iridology in Toronto, Wendy delivered a thesis on Hypoglycemia and received her certified accreditation C.C.Ir.® in the fall of 2000.  Her thesis was published in the official newsletter of the Iridologists’ Association of Canada, 2002-Vol. 8 Issue 2, 3 and 4, 2003 – Vol 9 Issue 1.

Wendy is a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher, received her First Degree in 1996 from Michael Irvine, Kanata; Second Degree in April 1997 from Bonnie & Gary Rondeau of Nepean; Master/Teacher Degree in September 1998 from Barb Keshen of Toronto. She received her Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher certification with the International Center for Reiki Training in July 2000 from Helen Schruder. Wendy received Quantum Shamanic Master/Teacher Reiki in February 2020 from Pete Bernard, The 8th Fire, Ottawa. Wendy became a Master/Teacher of Holy Fire® Reiki World Peace in May 2023 with Eugene Nau through the ICRT. She has been actively providing Reiki treatments since 1996 and teaching Reiki since 1998.

Professional 2-Year Shamanism (Medicine Work) Training Program “Earning The Light”.  Trained with Pete Bernard, Algonquin Medicine Man, Midewin, The 8th Fire from 2013 to 2015 receiving all Medicine Rites,  having received those Medicine Rites and an additional 320 hours of training years 3 & 4 from 2019 to 2021, for the 2 year Training program “The Medicine Keeper”, Teaching Assistant & Co-Teacher for Earning the light Program 2023-2026. Wendy has received a solid foundation of Traditional Medicine Work, which is focused on self-healing, and can also be to serve others healing needs. Everything from working with intuition, scanning, energy, chakras, the Aura, healing, energetic protection, Journey Work, Animal Totems, Spirit Guides, Astral Projection, Akashic Records, Space Clearings and more. 

In addition, Wendy performed over 120 private case studies outside of class time, to deepen her learning and healing abilities.

This trauma release technique was developed by André Dückers (Netherlands), an osteopath who taught it to Madeline McBride, Ottawa, in July 2023 in England. Madeline brought it to North America and enhanced it with the powerful energy system activation taught by Qi-Matic Healing Master-Instructor James Foo (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Madeline taught the technique to Wendy Armstrong, Ottawa, Ontario in October 2023 in order that Wendy could also teach others.  Wendy is now a Workshop Instructor.

It is intended to release emotions that may be impacting a person’s health. It is to address the lasting adverse emotional response that often results from living through a distressing event or situation, or some ongoing distressing circumstance, or exposure to an incident or series of events that are emotionally disturbing.
